Three checks before you buy
Your phone: it must support eSIM. Check the exact model and sales region, not just the model name.
Carrier lock: a phone locked to your home carrier cannot use another network’s plan. Check the lock before you buy.
Coverage: choose a plan that covers every country on your route. A country plan works in that country; regional and global plans cover several.
Install before you travel, connect when you land
Install the eSIM over Wi-Fi before you leave, so you are not looking for a connection at the airport. Check when the plan’s validity starts: on some plans it starts at installation, on others at first connection.
When you arrive, choose the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for the eSIM line if the plan’s instructions ask for it. Keep roaming off on your home line to avoid home-carrier charges.

If your eSIM does not connect
Check the basics first: the eSIM is turned on, it is selected for mobile data, and data roaming is on for the eSIM line. Restarting the phone can help it register on a network.
Do not delete the eSIM while you troubleshoot: it may not be possible to install it again. Contact support with your order reference, phone model and the exact error.

Common questions
Will a travel eSIM work everywhere in the country?
It works where its partner networks have coverage. As with any mobile service, remote areas can have gaps.
Do I need to turn on data roaming?
Many travel plans connect to local networks as roaming, so the eSIM line usually needs data roaming on. Follow your plan’s instructions, and keep roaming off on your home line if you do not want home-carrier charges.
Can I choose the network?
Your phone selects an available partner network automatically. If you have trouble, you can try selecting a listed network manually in your phone’s network settings.
