Support

A separate place for your personal text messages.

Understand private-number texting, separate inboxes, messages while away, delivery problems and the difference between SMS and an OTP attempt.

Can I text a new personal contact from a separate number?

Choose a dedicated line that supports outbound SMS to the intended destination. Confirm that line before composing a personal one-to-one message. A one-time-code number does not provide this function, and neither product is for bulk or promotional messaging.

Which number will the recipient see?

For a supported message sent through your DualLine line, the sender is that line’s number, not your everyday carrier number.

Can I automate a series of messages?

No. The second-line service is for manually composed personal communication, not automated messaging.

How do I avoid mixing conversations from different numbers?

Use the selected line and conversation history as the reference before replying. Decide which contacts belong to each number and share the intended number consistently. Separate inboxes organize communication; they do not automatically prevent sending from the wrong selected line.

Should I check the line for every new conversation?

Yes. Check the sender and destination before the first message, especially when you manage more than one number.

Does this move my existing SMS history?

Do not assume automatic import or transfer. Your carrier’s inbox and DualLine conversation history are separate contexts.

Can I manage my second-line messages while I am away?

An app-managed line separates the communication surface from your main carrier inbox. Access still depends on the app, your connection, account state and the line’s supported features. A travel eSIM can be a separate data connection, but it does not automatically enable SMS on an unsupported second line.

Is a data-only eSIM an SMS inbox?

No. It supplies mobile data, not carrier SMS. A supported second line is a separate communication product.

Will every destination accept my SMS?

No. Country, number and network capabilities matter. Review the specific line and destination before relying on delivery.

My SMS is not arriving. What should I check?

Check the destination number, selected sender, connection and visible message state. A sent request and confirmed delivery are different. Keep the message context for support and avoid sending repeated copies before understanding whether the first is pending or failed.

Does a sent label guarantee it was read?

No. Submission, delivery and reading are separate events. Use the status actually available rather than inferring a read receipt.

What should I include in a support request?

The relevant line, approximate time, destination country and error or status. Avoid unnecessary private message content.

Do I need ordinary SMS or just a verification code?

If the task is a personal conversation with replies, examine a dedicated line’s SMS capabilities. If the task is one supported verification attempt, examine the one-time-code product. Buying travel data or a temporary verification attempt does not create an ongoing two-way SMS inbox.

Can my second line receive all OTPs?

No. The receiving service and number capabilities determine acceptance. Never assume bank or payment verification support.

Can I keep a code number for chatting?

No. That is outside the receive-only single-attempt product. Use a suitable dedicated line for personal messaging.
