Check model, region and delivery
Confirm eSIM support and any carrier restriction for your exact Pixel. Also check which SIM combination the device and carrier allow.
Prepare an internet connection and open the delivered eSIM in DualLine. Read the start policy before installing and keep the supplied method accessible.
Add a new eSIM from Settings
Use the eSIM setup option in Pixel's SIM settings. Follow the screen prompts for the supplied QR or other installation method.
Carrier assignment and transferring an existing SIM are different flows. Your travel purchase adds its own profile; it does not require moving your home number.
- Open Settings.
- Open Network & internet, then SIMs.
- Choose Add SIM and Set up an eSIM.
- Follow the setup prompts with the supplied installation details.
- Check that the new line appears in SIM settings.
If the QR is on the same phone
Use a supplied manual method when the Pixel's setup screen offers an appropriate entry option. Enter the delivered values exactly as requested by the screen.
If that option is unavailable, display the private QR on another screen you control and use the scan method. Avoid using another order's QR or deleting an existing profile just to restart.
Choose mobile data, calls and texts
In SIM settings, select which line should provide mobile data. Review calls and text-message preferences separately so the phone uses the number you expect.
Apply roaming according to the travel package. Automatic data switching or data during calls can change the data path on supported devices; review those settings alongside the home carrier's terms.
Check the network connection
The profile can be installed before it has service in a covered destination. Compare coverage and validity with the place and time where you are testing it.
If the line is listed but does not connect, use the connection checklist and retain the installed profile. For a rejected installation, keep the exact error and the order reference for support.

Common questions
Is this a SIM transfer?
This guide adds a delivered travel eSIM. Transferring your existing carrier number is a different task.
Can both lines stay active?
The active-SIM combination depends on the Pixel and carrier. Check those details before relying on both lines.
Can I keep the home line for texts?
Choose the preferred text-message line separately from the mobile data line. Home-carrier charges and service conditions still apply.
What if there is no manual option?
Use the supplied QR on another screen you control, or the installation method actually available for your delivery.
Why is my data using the other line?
Review the default mobile data SIM, automatic switching and data-during-calls settings where available.
